Czech cosmetics brand Manufaktura was looking for a local supplier of a gift packaging insert. Their main goals were saving time during assembly, aesthetically pleasing look, and an alignment with the brand’s values.

The Challenge

The project involved three key challenges. The round lip balm required a horizontal placement to ensure stability, while a custom cutout was developed for the hand cream to hold it securely in place. Their embossed logo with curved geometry also required special attention, which was addressed through precise adjustments during mold production.

The Proposal

To protect the four cosmetics products, we designed an inlay precisely tailored to the internal dimensions of the existing gift box. Multiple layout concepts were presented, with the client selecting the final solution. The raw material is 100% recycled cardboard processed on a conventional line additional after-press for smooth finish.

The Production

The collaboration went smoothly. Prior to approval, Manufaktura requested a 3D-printed model of the tray to verify the shape and product placement. The moulded pulp samples were approved on the first try, and the entire project—from initial contact to mass production—was completed in six months.
